SSH For PC
- Download the SSH Program.
- It will ask you if you want to open the file or if you want to save the file. Select save, and save it to your desktop.
- Once it has been saved, you can then double click on the Putty.exe Icon.
- You will be brought to the Connection Tab.
- Under hostname type: valinet.com.
- Where it says Protocol, select: SSH.
- In Stored Sessions type: www.valinet.com.
- Press the save button (it should drop valinet.com to the bigger box below).
- Press the Open button, and it should open to a login screen (the first
time you connect it might come up with a message stating the host entry
key has not been found on this computer, would you like to save it. Press
yes).
- At the login screen, type in your username (without the @valinet.com,
@westmass.com, or @noho.com) example: if your account with us is
user@noho.com then just put in user.
- Press enter.
- It will now ask you for your password: enter your password and press enter.
- You should now be able to get to your files the same way you would by using Telnet.
After you have connected the first time, you can follow these instructions for connecting each time after.
- Double Click on the Putty Icon on your desktop.
- Double click on valinet.com.
- Enter your login information.
- You are now connected.
